South London based Producer, Joe G, has been in the music business for over 20 years, specialising in the Reggae Music. Joe G, aka Joe Grine for the type of music he played, was playing on one of South London's finest sound system, VIKING DISCO MIX, with Father D, DJ Landy, Gilly Priest & Ronnie Viking from Peckham. Viking entertained the public with music right across all genres from reggae to RnB, from old to new.  

Joe G started making and voicing SPECIALS and DUBPLATES for Viking in 1986 with Micky Ranking aka Mike Antony and the original Tad Hunter who were singers on Viking Sound. Using just a Tascam 442, Joe G started to build riddims for the sound and linked up with a musician called Leroy Davis, who built a riddim which later became a massive hit tune LOVE MI SESS. Prior to that massive hit, that riddim was voiced by Mickey Ranking aka Mike Antony a track called KILL HIM WITH IT and later Tad Hunter voiced MENTAL HOSPITAL which played for two years on Viking.

In 1988 Joe G was introduced by Bigga H to two Dj's Juggler Banton and Top Cat. Neither Dj's were recording so Joe G invited them to the studio were they voiced LOVE MI SESS and SWEET JAMAICA on DCH Dance Vibes record label.

Joe G's Records was formed in 1990 when a new recording studio was built by Joe G. Mikey McLean & Mike Antony were working on WALK AWAY FROM LOVE and Joe G, fresh from Jamaica in 1991 was left to put the finishing touches to a great track which became a No. 1 Hit. This was the spark that started Joe G's collaboration with other great producers such as Gussie P, Top Cat and artists such as Luciano, Gregory Isaacs, Frankie Paul, Mikey General and the late great Alton Ellis and many more, too many to mention!
